Lucy had her first pool date with Katya and she loved it although the photos don't really show it. Once Lucy figured out she wasn't getting a bath, she kicked her legs and checked out all the "big" kids splashing around her. I've got to stop being surprised when my daughter is okay with new things. As we were walking out of the pool after a fun day in the sun, Lucy looked over at the baby pool and scoffed at it. Just a few shots from our glorious 5 days in the Windy City...Lucy was an absolute doll on the plane. So much for all the worrying her Mama did beforehand. But most importantly, Lucy got to meet the rest of her family and friends in a long weekend of activities. Many thanks to Grandma & Papa who did loads of preparing to make us feel incredibly at home and for throwing Lucy a doozy of a party! And for all those who traveled many miles to come to St. Charles to meet Lucy and see me, I am continually grateful.
